Total Training Success for Mel!
22.02.18 Total Training Success for Mel!
One of our longest standing staff members is celebrating this month after completing an NVQ and BTEC Level 4 Diploma in Management and Leadership.
Accounts Manager – Melanie Hart, who has been with Total hire since 1995, has recently passed the Diploma course with a Merit, undertaking a series of units based on Management and Professional Development.
The Management and Leadership Diploma is designed to give learners a more thorough understanding of the managerial and technical skills required to manage an operational area of a business.
The programme allows individuals to further develop their skills using work-based learning and activities, which enables staff to demonstrate how they would apply these skills within their organisation.
Mel said: “This course has provided me with the confidence and knowledge I needed to better utilise my skills within my role. I completed 20 units in total where I had to research and write three essays per unit, these included various styles of leadership, preparing for audits, relationships with stakeholders, managing personal and professional development, business performance and many, many more. All of these aspects are a vital part of any business and will be of great importance to Total hire as it continues to expand”.
Carl Tidey, Director & General Manager is delighted with Mel’s achievement: “We are extremely proud of Mel and this qualification is testament to the dedication and hard work she has put in to the company over the last 23 years.
Carl continues: “Total Hire and Sales are committed to training, providing local people with lifelong learning opportunities. We have a highly skilled workforce due to the investment in training that we deliver with many of our workforce starting as apprentices with the Company, and have been given the opportunity to fulfil their true potential through qualifications and on the job training”.
“We extend our congratulations to Mel and wish her every success in continuing to excel in her role”.
