Getting to know… Sam Grant, Hire Controller
As Hire Controller at Total Hire and Sales, Sam is responsible for maintaining and managing all aspects of the kit hire process. He tells us more about the variety of his job and why he likes the firm’s family atmosphere.
Based at Total Hire and Sales’ Somercotes depot, Sam has been with the firm for over five years. Before embarking on his career in tool and equipment hire, he was a college student and also worked part-time in local restaurants.
In his role as Hire Controller, Sam’s day-to-day responsibilities involve testing, repairing and hiring out power tools, plant and equipment to customers. The variety of the job is a major plus point for Sam, and he also appreciates the variety and the opportunity to learn every aspect of the business.
Sam has always valued the people he works with at Total Hire and Sales, who he knows he can rely on like a family to help and listen, regardless of seniority. With his determined, easy going and friendly personality, he fits right in. In his spare time, Sam enjoys playing video games and board games with friends and family.
