Getting to know…Jack Ferguson, Hire Manager
Jack Ferguson, Hire Manager at Total Hire and Sales, talks about the variety of his role and why having a sense of humour helps.
Jack joined Total Hire and Sales five years ago, based at the Derby Central depot. Before joining the business, he worked in recruitment as a Recruitment Manager.
As Hire Manager, Jack is responsible for the day-to-day running of the business. In addition to dealing with customers’ face-to-face, phone and email queries, he’s also on hand to manage any issues that may arise. He also oversees the kit, ensuring it is either booked out or ready for hire.
The role is very varied and busy, which makes the days fly by, but there’s always something to do and the staff camaraderie is great. As someone with a great sense of humour, Jack enjoys working hard with the team and sharing the laughs.
When he’s not at work, Jack supports Derby County, and enjoys running, cycling and spending time with his family.
