Total Hire and Sales Help Turn Chesterfield Pink for Sparkle Night Walk
Total Hire and Sales was again pleased to support Ashgate Hospice’s flagship fundraising event last month – the Sparkle Night Walk. The annual 10k charity walk raises vital funds towards end-of-life care and supporting the hospice’s work across North Derbyshire.
This year’s walk was the biggest to date, with over 3,100 people signing up to help turn the streets of Chesterfield pink. This made it not only Ashgate’s biggest fundraising but mostly likely Chesterfield’s!
Total Hire and Sales provided the generators and crowd barriers, which not only helped to put on a safe and enjoyable event but also saved the charity over £1,200.00 that could be redirected to help with patient care.
The event generated an incredible £150,000 and counting, with every penny raised going towards care and helping the charity’s nurses to be there for families throughout Derbyshire who desperately need them.
Alison Ward‑Foster, Partnerships Manager at Ashgate Hospice, said: “We are always so grateful to Total Hire and Sales for their ongoing support. Every penny saved from their generous donation of equipment is redirected to patient care, where it makes a vital difference.
“From supporting essential home visits that enable patients to stay at home with those they love to putting up a bed so loved ones can sleep alongside a patient in their bedroom at the Hospice, these funds make a real difference to those who need it and help keep families together at a crucial time. Thank you so much!
