Total Hire and Sales Helps Local Charity to Put Play Plans in Place

Total Hire and Sales relished the chance to help Umbrella, a local charity supporting disabled children and young adults in Derby City and Southern Derbyshire, with the installation of its new playhouse.

Total Hire and Sales relished the chance to help Umbrella, a local charity supporting disabled children and young adults in Derby City and Southern Derbyshire, with the installation of its new playhouse. Umbrella took over the lease of the Rykeneld Community Centre in 2020, which was renamed the Annie Hall Centre in memory of a beloved Trustee. In addition to renovating the centre to a high spec, the charity has been fully focused on creating a fully-accessible allotment and activity garden where visitors can enjoy outdoor activities.

The charity’s newly-donated playhouse was the latest addition to the outdoor space and required some heavy lifting to assist with its installation. Total Hire and Sales provided a telehandler and the team’s professional expertise to move the playhouse safely into position.

Ann Rowlands, Chief Executive of Umbrella, said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to Andy Hickingbottom and the team at Total Hire and Sales for their help and loan of a telehandler to lift the children’s playhouse into position on our newly-renovated garden.

“Your support was invaluable and the young people already love their new playhouse!”

Andy Hickingbottom Director and General Manager at Total Hire and Sales said: “When Umbrella approached us for help, we were more than happy to oblige. We know how much work they’ve put into creating an outdoor space that visitors can benefit from and, hopefully, their new playhouse can be enjoyed by all for many years to come.”
