Total Hire and Sales Steps Up to Support Sparkle Night Walk

Total Hire and Sales was again pleased to support Ashgate Hospice’s annual Sparkle Night Walk in July. The annual 10k charity walk raises vital funds towards end-of-life care and supporting the hospice’s work across North Derbyshire.

Over 2,000 people stepped out on Saturday 9th July donning flashing bunny ears and pink outfits to complete a circular route, setting off from Chesterfield Football Club’s Technique Stadium at 10pm.

Total Hire and Sales provided the generators, lighting towers, lights and barriers, which not only helped to put on a safe and enjoyable event but also saved the charity over £2,800 that could be redirected to help with patient care.

The event generated an incredible £200,00.00 and counting, with every penny raised going towards care and helping the charity’s nurses to be there for families throughout Derbyshire who desperately need them.

Alison Ward‑Foster, Partnerships Manager at Ashgate Hospice, said: “We are so grateful to Total Hire and Sales for all you have done. The service you and your team provided was fantastic, so helpful, responsive and reliable.

“Each year, the hospice cares for around 2,200 people and their families, and the impact the hospice has on local lives is only possible thanks to our community and businesses like yours! With the money saved from your generous donation, we can help our nurses to provide their crucial care through all hours of the day and night to patients and their loved ones and for this we are incredibly grateful.”

Carl Tidey, Managing Director at Total Hire and Sales, said: “We are committed to supporting local causes and were so pleased that, once again, we could help Ashgate Hospice with their annual fundraiser.

“We know how expensive setting up these events can be, so we’re happy to have donated our kit to support the cause and played our part in directing vital funds to the local families who need them the most.”

Over 300 people have already signed up for Sparkle 2023, which will take place on Saturday 1st July 2023.
