Supporting the local community/ Sponsorship and donations

Supporting the local community

Supporting the communities surrounding its Midlands’ depots is important to the team and Total Hire and Sales. From sporting sponsorship to assisting with complimentary hire, the Total team is always keen to lend a hand where it can.

Sporting Sponsorship

As big sports fans, Total Hire works with a range of football teams from local grass roots level right up to professional Championship club, Derby County Football Club

Derby is a single club city and Derby County FC is close to people’s hearts locally. Many of the Total team are “Rams” fans and friendly football banter is a big part of daily life in the depots. Total Hire has worked in partnership with Derby County for many years and supports the club with plant hire and equipment, as well as sponsorship of the digital boards around the ground.

At the other end of the sporting scale, at grass roots football it is difficult to make ends meet. It’s expensive to run amateur clubs and cover the costs of kit, match and referee fees, plus finance the upkeep of the ground and club facilities.

As advocates of supporting up and coming community talent, Total Hire supports a range of football clubs including Mickleover Royal British Legion FC, Holbrook FC, Linton FC and Uttoxeter FC. Backing the teams involves a mixture of shirt sponsorship and boards around the ground with the Total logo, donations to help with pitch fees and ground maintenance, as well as making crowd control improvements with barriers and fencing. Backing Promising Talent

It’s not just football, the team is passionate about supporting up and coming talent in all sports. For the last five years, Total Hire has backed darts player, Daryl Gurney. Represented by local promoter and sport agency MDA Promotions, Darryl “SuperChin” Gurney is currently ranked 22nd in the world by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and has a string of championship competitions under his belt.

Now on regularly on featuring on PDC and Sky Sports, he has a large TV following and sponsorship of his shirt presents a profile-raising opportunity for Total Hire, while supporting the player to compete on an international stage.

In the early stages of her career, Total also supported amateur, turned professional, boxer Sandy Ryan. The team provided her with a car for several years to get to events. Now starting a successful professional career, former Olympic Team GB competitor, Sandy continues to do Derby proud and we are keen to follow her story and wish her all the best for the future.

Delivering with donations

Aside from sport, the Total team regularly support local events, festivals and fundraisers by supplying donations, equipment, generators and crowd barriers throughout the year

Most recently the team has donated a pair of tickets for a Manchester United vs Derby County match to Breast Cancer charity, Every Cloud for a raffle and raised much needed funds. Ashgate Hospice has also benefited from a donation of crowd barriers to support its annual Sparkle Night Walk and help keep everyone safe. Total Hire now has a star that will shine brightly on the front of the hospice until the twelfth night, as a thank you for everything throughout the year.
