Getting to Know… Amy Siddons, Finance Apprentice

Amy Siddons, Finance Apprentice at Total Hire and Sales, is responsible for keeping the firm’s records in tip-top shape while performing various clerical duties. She talked to us about learning on the job and how the team supports her as she gets to know the industry.

Amy is one of the newest members of the Total Hire and Sales team, having joined us in June, and is based in the Derby South Depot. Following a degree in fashion at De Montfort University, she worked as a supervisor at high-street retailer Schuh before changing career direction and joining the tool hire industry.

Amy’s day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with financial record-keeping and undertaking clerical duties, and she’s very happy to learn on the job. She likes organising data and working with numbers and enjoys communicating with multiple people across the business on a daily basis.

The team at Total Hire and Sales have all been very welcoming and helped Amy to settle in, which she has appreciated; as she is new to both finance and the hire sector, their encouragement has helped her to learn and adapt.

Creative, cheerful and approachable, Amy may have only been with us for a short while, but she already feels like she belongs, which is a testament to the family atmosphere here at Total Hire and Sales.

In her spare time, Amy loves spending time with her family, including her gorgeous three-year-old twin goddaughters. She also enjoys being creative by making her own clothes and jewellery.
